Birth Freedom is Essential Liberty

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -- Benjamin Franklin

Choosing freely where you have your baby and with whom, is essential liberty. Current legislation and regulation of midwives limits the choices of pregnant women. I love the free birth and unassisted birth movement because for better or worse they are taking back their liberty. But women should not be forced to go it alone to avoid coercion during labor.

With this liberty comes the responsibility to maintain your health to prevent a medical emergency. Because our bodies were not created to eat the anti-nutritious foods available today-- not available, rather pervasive. You cannot find any decent food except in a 5 star restaurant and 5% of the grocery store. To be free, takes work and mental discipline. If you lose your health, you will lose your freedom. Read Principles of Health Stewardship to learn to maintain health and freedom.

I am very glad more women are making an informed choice to steer clear of unnecessary and often detrimental interventions. Nutrition is key, thanks for reminding your readers!
