Pure Water

A Vital Link In Your Health Stewardship Program

Water makes up 70 percent of your body by weight. Water is the most important nutrient, next to air. It is the medium in which the nutrients and the waste products of your cells are dissolved. Water is necessary for any life processes to take place in the body.

When you remove the water from a piece of fruit the enzyme activity of that fruit is slowed. This is one way we preserve food. Similarly, the cleaning experts tell you that if you want to increase the cleaning power of your laundry detergent increase the water content. The dirt must be able to be dissolved in the water to clean the clothes. Really the detergent is just making the water "wetter."

Many people have found that just by increasing the amount of pure water they drink every day they feel better and lose weight, too.

The process that God designed for purification of water is two-fold. First the water cycle whereby water evaporates from the ocean and is moved and cooled by the wind, then dropped to the earth as rain is a distillation process. Second the rain travels through soil and rocky ground filtering it. Therefore the processes for purifying your water should be one or both of these.

If you buy distilled water make sure it does not taste or smell like plastic. Plastic milk containers are better than other plastics. And glass and stainless steel containers are best.

Natural Food

A Vital Link In Your Health Stewardship Program

""The term "natural" is used today in advertising so loosely that I don't think anyone knows what it means. "Natural!" is emblazoned on every other package. But when you read the label there is a mile long list of artificial ingredients. This tells me that for the advertisers "natural" means that at one time this was from nature.

When God created food for the first time, He knew exactly what we needed to live full and happy lives. He packaged it in fruits and vegetables. He created the awesome process of photosynthesis so that plants could take the sun's life giving energy and transform it into food for us. Amazing! He had us lovingly in mind then and now. So why is it that we have so many food choices that say "natural" but aren't?

The love of money is the root of all evil! The reason for the artificial items on the packaging list is MONEY! The longer the shelf life and the brighter the colors the more money the food producers make. Why does the FDA allow chemicals in our food that other countries have banned? That is a good question and the answer is still that the love of money is the root of all evil.

Don't expect other people to do your thinking for you. Do your homework and begin studying how to live life as God intended. Everything you need for health, He has provided in unprocessed food.

I seek to instigate self-government and liberty, especially in the area of health. You can't have liberty without health. Take back your health! Be self-governing!

Fresh Air & Oxygen

A Vital Link In Your Health Stewardship Program

Most of us take the air we breathe for granted. We don't even think about it unless it smells bad or causes us immediate distress. It is also difficult to control.

One time I was moved into a new building with new cubicles and new carpet. I was immediately aware of the odors in the air, which means airborne chemicals were entering my lungs and poisoning me. I felt ill pretty quickly so I bought a negative ion producing air cleaner and left it running in the office 24 hours a day for a month. I think I purified the whole building because the odor went away everywhere.

Some people are more aware than others of the effects of noxious chemicals in the air. But understand that even if they do not make you ill immediately, they are causing problems in your body that your body may eventually be unable to compensate for.

Cancer is in essence caused by lack of oxygen in the affected tissue so this illness as well as all other pollution in the tissues will benefit from an air purifier/ozone generator. But exercise will multiply the effects.

A Simple Life

A Vital Link In Your Health Stewardship Program

Much of the stress and anxiety we feel each day is self-imposed.

Take for example the family that dreams of having a boat. Finally they purchase one. Now they have added hours of chores to take care of it, hours of driving to put it in the water, and many new costs to keep it up. After a few months the children would rather play with their friends, the parents are torn between playing on the weekends and keeping up the house and the yard. These go undone or the boat sits in storage. All these irritations build until the family is wondering why they ever got the boat in the first place. I am not saying, "Don't buy a boat." I am saying, make your dreams line up with reality so that when you have them you are prepared for the additional burden. You only have so much time in a day and in your life. Spend it wisely.

As I have grown a little wiser, I have realized that I am happiest when I decide to make whatever I am doing enjoyable. Many people must perform many mundane and repetitive tasks everyday. And a key to reducing stress is to learn to enjoy them. Take time to really look at the kitchen after you have cleaned it and think about how pleased it makes you. Focus on the feeling of success and the beauty of a task well done. It is just as easy to think a good, positive thought as it is to think a negative one. The choice is ours.

Breaking Curses & Giving Blessings

A Vital Link In Your Health Stewardship Program

I say a blessing is a pronouncement or action of good toward another. And if it is God's Blessing then it has more power than all other spoken words.

Proverbs 3:1-10 is an example of an exhortation with a promise of blessing:

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Psalm 1:1-3 is another promise of blessing:

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

What do you think of when you read the word "curse"? Do you think of the scene in Macbeth with the witches stirring the bubbling cauldron? Or do you think of the obscene language that pours out of many popular television shows or movies? The witches of Macbeth are performing an action to invoke Satan's involvement. This will always bring a curse on susceptible people. Obscene language is a sign of the degradation of our culture and tears down the spirit of the hearers.

But I am much more concerned about the more pervasive, subtle curses of the powerful people in our lives, the people we trust. The father who calls a child "stupid"; the husband that nicknames his wife "fatty"; the mother who rebukes with "you're just like your father"; the pastor who threatens with the Curses of the Law and the Medical Doctor that labels you Diabetic or Arthritic or AIDS infected.

The definition of the word "curse" from The New Bible Dictionary includes this distinction:

"... just as a word was not a mere sound on the lips but an active agent sent forth, so the spoken curse was an active agent for hurt. Behind the word stands the soul that created it. Thus, a word which is backed by no spiritual capacity of accomplishment is a mere 'word of the lip' (II Ki. 18:20, but when the soul is powerful the word is clothed in that power (Eccl. 8:4; I Chr. 21:4).

This is especially true when we have health problems. Lacking knowledge and trust in God's design of the human body, we become troubled by symptoms and afraid. We become superstitious. Myths about illness abound today. Myths generated by medical experts and pharmaceutical companies are not founded in principles of physiology, but rather evolutionary philosophy and biochemical theory. But we want immediate relief because we lust for comfort. So we call doctors and other experts for miracles. Where is the faith in that? Then we get a diagnosis from the doctor - A curse.

A diagnosis with it's corresponding prognosis is a curse. A curse that must be rebuked. This curse only has power because of the "faith" the patient has in his physician. The physician merely organizes your symptoms and matches them to a list of diseases in the Merck Manual which he keeps in his office. Then he comes back in the examining room and tells you what you wanted to hear, "It's not your fault. It doesn't matter what you eat or if you exercise or not. Your problem must be genetic or caused by a germ. But we will help you. Take these drugs and set another appointment."

This medical religion has replaced faith and loyalty to the One true God, Jehovah Rapha. Curses are not usually meant to kill, but to enslave. The slavery happens when we are afraid to trust God. We feel compelled to "trust in the arm of man."

There is not a single verse that says, "go to a physician, he will heal you." So why do Christians go? The greater portion of Christians in the industrial nations have rationalized away the scriptures about health or spiritualized them to the point of absurdity. But God created the physiology of the human body and it is a true science. All true science magnifies God because it seeks to describe and understand his creation. When you accept medical theory and follow their prescription, you accept pseudo-science distorted by greed.

The world may condemn you as foolish for not using the latest drugs or surgery for your ailment or at the least letting a doctor look at it. But beware of the curses of diagnosis that enslave you just like the Galatians mentioned in Galatians 3:1:

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

I Corinthians 10:23:

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Blessings on the other hand, will edify and free you.

I am not saying, do not use physicians. I am saying submit to the truth first. Repent for the behavior and thinking that led to the illness. It only seems a mystery because we have not been taught physiology. Learn normal physiology. Learn it before you become ill. Then support the healing ability that God placed in your body. God will forgive us when we ask. Let's try to avoid the need to ask. Take responsibility for your health stewardship.

Meditation, Prayer & Faith

A Vital Link In Your Health Maintenance Program

Meditation is the soil from which effectual prayer and faith spring. The more thought you invest in meditation upon the word of God and His creation, the more your prayers will bring evidence of your faith. Now, let's define these terms.

According to Webster's 1828 Dictionary: Meditation is close or continued thought; the turning or revolving of a subject in one's mind; serious contemplation. We are not talking about the type of meditation popularized in movies where someone chants a mantra and goes into a trance. Meditation involves a fully engaged mind.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in Thee." Isaiah 26:3

"His delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth he meditate day and night." Psalm 1

Prayer is the topic of many books. I have read a few myself. Jesus' example is all you need. Don't get all uptight about prayer. Don't use fancy words or get loud. Just talk to your heavenly Father. He has promised that He will never, never leave you. So He's listening. Many times we get frustrated by the results or lack of results we seem to get from our prayers. The purpose of conversation with the Lord should be communication, not results. If you only pray when you want something, even good things, you are acting like a four year old child. Grow up. Ask your Father what He wants today.

According to Hebrews 1:1, "... faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." It then proceeds to tell of many old testament characters that trusted God. Faith is trust. If you spend time in authentic conversation with the Lord and meditation on His words you will grow to trust Him more.
